Kristin A. Chmela, M.A., CCC-SLP BCS-F

Kristin grew up stuttering and since becoming a speech-language pathologist in 1987, has had an intense passion for helping children who stutter.  She initially began a camp and training program for kids who stutter alongside a recreation association through the collaborative efforts of a parent of a client in the Chicago area.  After recognizing Julie's desire to help those who stutter and her extensive camp experience, she and Julie, along with much support, created Camp Shout Out in 2011.

Julie Raynor, a speech-language pathologist since 1986, became interested in stuttering in 2007 when her young daughter woke up from a nap with a sudden and severe stutter. Julie has an extensive history of experience with summer camps first as an enthusiastic camper,  and then as a camp staff member and also as a volunteer for a variety of summer residential and day camp programs.
