AT CAMP SHOUT OUT!

Come join us for tons of summer camp fun and meet others like you!

All Aged Campers
Swimming, boating, horseback riding, ropes courses, climbing wall, campfires, large and small group games, talent show, all-camp relay competition, archery, and crafts are just a few of the activities available at Camp Shout Out

Camp Shout Out is nothing like other speech therapy!  Activities are uniquely designed every year.  Campers are assigned to smaller peer communities in addition to participating in all camp large group experiences and traditions.  Time is invested in building positive relationships, understanding individual experiences around stuttering, and gaining insight into what matters most to each camper.

Options for High School Aged Campers

Option #1: Leader-in-Training Program
Teens entering grades 9-12 may choose to enroll in the popular LIT program.  The LIT program is developed and led by Tom Chmela who guides teens through team building, water-based, and other adventure-based activities. LITs serve as peer mentors for the younger campers throughout the week.  LITs share cabins with other same-gender LITs.

Option #2: Traditional Camp Program
If you are considering Option #2, please contact us first.
Teens entering grades 9-12 may choose to enroll as a traditional camper and will follow the general camper schedule while engaging in age-appropriate activities.

Finding a community of support is key for kids who stutter!

LEADER-IN-TRAINING Camper Program

High School Campers

Teens entering grades 9-12 may choose to enroll in the popular LIT program. This LIT program provides unique, powerful opportunities for teens to strengthen problem-solving, leadership, relationship-building, and character development skills.  Through observation, mentoring, and engagement, teens are equipped with skills to be the best leaders they can be, both at camp and beyond.  In addition to specialized programming, LITs offer peer mentorship to younger campers and enjoy traditional camp activities.

TRADITIONAL
Camper Program

Ages 8 - 18*

Traditional campers participate in planned as well as chosen experiences designed to be innovative and enjoyable.  In addition, each camper is assigned to a small group with similar-aged peers and engages in age-appropriate programming as well as all-camp large group activities.
